About the Role

Join Iono’s core hardware team to design, prototype, and refine the mechanical systems powering our humanoid robots. You’ll work closely with electrical and software teams to ensure precision, durability, and scalability in all motion and structural components.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical assemblies for robotic joints, actuators, and exoskeletons.

  • Integrate sensors and motors with mechanical components.

  • Run FEA simulations and tolerance analyses.

  • Rapidly prototype using in-house tools or vendors.

  • Collaborate across teams for seamless mechatronic integration.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.

  • Strong CAD skills (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360).

  • Experience with motion systems, gears, linkages, or robotic actuation.

  • Familiarity with materials for lightweight yet high-strength builds (e.g., aluminum, carbon fiber).

  • Bonus: Knowledge of ROS or basic programming for hardware-software testing.

Your actual starting salary will be based on your qualifications and relevant professional experience. We are open to offering a market-based overpayment.
